Save the date video

March 3, 2010 | Personal, Video, wedding | 1 Comment

Last Feb 13, we had our prenup pictorial. As I promised, Iwill share to you some of our videos. This is our save the date video shoot at Jolibee Gen Luna, Iloilo City. This video is inspired by the 2009 mcdo commercial. I was a little bit shy but we enjoyed it a lot. Marielle, my fiancee, was surprised when I gave her an engagement ring during the shoot. That was not part of the script. I just love making surprises. :)

Here is the video. Hope you like it…

I want to thank our good friends, Shiela and Girl, for being part of this. And for Mindworkx for producing this video.

Prenup: Jolibee – CPU – Guimbal

February 19, 2010 | Personal, wedding | 1 Comment

It’s about a month before our wedding day. It has been a busy month for both me and my fiancee. We are happy that we are almost halfway in our preparation. We have already paid the church, reserved our reception venue, ordered our souvenirs, ready invitations to be printed out and to be distributed (a month before the wedding), and we also have her wedding dress made.

On Feb 13, we have our pre-nuptial pictorial. It was a whole day event. We started out 7 am at Jolibee, Gen. Luna, Iloilo City. At 10 am, we went to our school, Central Philippine University, and shoot some more photos and videos there. After lunch, 3 pm, we head on to Guimbal, Iloilo and do more crazy things. We finished at around 5:30 pm. It was a tiring yet an enjoyable day for all of us.

I will put some pictures here so that you can see a glipse of our behind the scene shoot.

To see all the pics visit Shiela’s Picasa page. Thank you Shie!! :)

I will post the videos as soon as they are finished. (videos are still being edited)

See you on my next post… ;)

If you want to get a personalized domain email address just like this: address@domain.com, you can configure it on your hosting account or you can use the free service of Google Apps.

  1. To do this, visit Google Apps Home Page, select Administrator option and enter your domain name.
  2. Click Get Started. You will be brought to the next page where you can enter your personal details.
  3. Next, you need to create a user name for your domain. Enter username and password.
  4. After entering your information, you will be given two options on how to verify your domain ownership. I preferred to upload an HTML file using FTP.
  5. On the next page, you will be given instructions on what to upload to your server. After you have uploaded the HTML file, click I’ve Completed the Steps Above.

After you have done this, you can now log in to your email account on www.google.com/a/domain.com using your username and password. But you need to activate your email in order to use it. To receive and send email in you Google Apps account, you need to change the MX records in your DNS server. To do that, visit their Setup MX instruction page.

Next Destination – Malumpati River

September 18, 2009 | Personal, Vacation | No Comments

If there is one vacation spot I want to visit before the year ends, that would be Malumpati river in Pandan Antique. It is known to be one of the largest vertical springs in the world and the cleanest river in the Philippines.

Short Description

The Malumpati Springs are known for their cristal clear water. They are also known to be one of the largest vertical springs in the world. The pond has a diameter of 30 meters. The depth is not yet known because divers who explored the pond could not get deeper than 40 meters. There the water pressure became to strong. The micro-climate around the springs and the rocky soil are favourable for the development of a the rainforest.

Check out their website: http://www.silent-gardens.com/panay-spring.php

OnlineJobs.ph – Brings Overseas Jobs to Filipinos

August 11, 2009 | Internet | No Comments

While millions of Filipinos are flocking to other countries in order to take on employment and career opportunities, John Jonas, the founder of replacemyself.com and onlinejobs.ph has come up with the idea of bringing those overseas jobs straight to the Philippines. Onlinejobs.ph is the newest Information technology career hub that caters to foreign employers and connects them to thousands or millions of Filipino talent looking for telecommuting jobs.

Onlinejobs.ph will accommodate jobs and resume posts for the fields of IT, in particular, jobs in relation to content writing, programming, internet marketing, webmaster, graphics, and backroom support. While there are many sites that act as some sort of agent between talents and potential employers, this site will not function as a recruitment site. It will merely provide the means of connection, leaving both employers and employees the freedom to specify on their employee or employer needs and requirements. The best feature about this is, it allows both of client and staff to remain in their prospective clients, and work purely online.

When asked why choose the Philippines over other outsourcing countries, John Jonas said, “I have been able to outsource from many different countries myself, and based on my experience, the Filipinos have been the most flexible in terms of skills learning, language, and trainability.” This website aims to endorse the Filipino talent, not only for United States employers, but also to prospective employers all around the world.

Goodbye Cory Aquino – The Mother of Philippine Democracy

August 5, 2009 | People | No Comments

The whole country celebrated EDSA Revolution that happened on Feb 22 – 25, 1986. Almost 2,000,000 Filipinos were involved. In the midst of the crowd, one woman stood with much courage – a woman who changed the course of Philippine history, Corazon Aquino – Mother of Philippine Democracy.

Former President Corazon Aquino died last Saturday, Aug 1, 2009 after dealing with her colon cancer for more than a year. She died at the age of 76.

Today, we opened the television at 8:00 am in the morning watching the necrological service and we have heard the statements and feel the sentiments of the Aquino family and friends.

Kung titingnan ang buhay ng aking ina, patunay na hindi dapat manatali ang bayan sa kasalukuyang kinalalagyan.” – Sen. Noynoy Aquino (Cory’s Son).

“She takes care of people around her, no matter how big or small…. “She was always very concerned about us, raised my dignity as a person.”– Mel Mamaril (close-in security of Cory Aquino)

And almost everyone was in tears when Kris Aquino (Cory’s daughter) started to talk as she gave her thanks and gratitude to all the people who supported their family while they are in pain and struggle.
