Email forwarding to mobile phones

Most of us know that email is one of the easiest and most convenient means of communication. Companies nowadays use email to send and receive reports from their branches and stores nationwide. Most people here in the Philippines communicate to their loved ones abroad using email. Email is very essential in terms of communication.

But what if you are not in front of your computer? What if you are away taking a vacation or doing field works? Unlike in other countries, they can use their Smartphones such BlackBerry to receive and send emails. They can also take advantage of the free SMS gateways of major carriers.

How about here in the Philippines? If you are a post-paid plan user, you can have your service provider active push email on your mobile phone. But this would also depend on the mobile phone unit you have. I talked to Smart Communications‘ customer service representative and she told me that only selected mobile phone units can support push email.
