Send Free Text Messages from PC to Mobile Phones

There are many ways to send text messages from PC to your recipient’s mobile phone.
One of the most popular Free SMS to Mobile provider is Chikka.com. All you need to do is to create an account. You need your mobile number and email address for you to register. You can also see the link on their website where you can download the Chikka software which you will need to send free SMS to any mobile phones. But I think Chikka limits it to only 3-5 sms per day (I’m not sure).
Another website that I have found is www.text4free.net. Here are some of its features:
1. Twenty-six new providers have been added to our list! You can send free text messages to these providers from the new SMS by country. All the major cellphone companies work for each country. This new method of SMS does not require you to know the recipient’s provider.
2. Send free MMS messages! Send pictures, audio files, and graphics with your free text messages.
3. Send free text messages to 10 numbers at once!
4. Send up to 10 copies of free text messages at once.
5. Send free sms to over 100 service providers worldwide.
I haven’t used this one yet, but you can try it if you want.
Another way to send SMS from your PC is by using Yahoo Messenger. Click here to know how to send SMS to a Messenger contact from your computer. You can also send SMS to any mobile phone by clicking on Actions – Send SMS Message – Enter mobile number with country code (Ex. 63916xxxxxxx) – Write your message and click send. The recipient needs to reply after receiving 5 messages to continue the service. Each reply costs PhP2.50.
If the recipient is a Smart user, you can send sms from your email using this format: [mobilenumber@mysmart.com.ph]. The recipient will be charged PhP2.50 when reading the incoming message. If the message is longer than three (3) SMS, the recipient will be charged again PhP2.50 when reading the next incoming message. Check out TextMail for more information.
